In a cover letter submitted with a critical review, authors must briefly comment on their expertise in the subject matter and provide a list of their own related publications on this topic. Typical reviews are less than 12?000 words including references.
The format and length of review papers are more flexible than for a full paper. Manuscripts simply summarizing the current state of knowledge are not suitable.
Review article: Only critical review papers will be considered that provide a novel perspective and critical evaluation on topics of interest to broader JCLP readership. Original article: Standard research papers of 6000-8000 words in length, with tables, illustrations and references, in which hypotheses are tested and results reported.
